H I S T O R Y

Catholics United for Life of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Cody, Wyoming, was founded on September 14th, 2005. We are affiliated with Catholics United for Life, whose national office is in New Hope, Kentucky (Archdiocese of Louisville, Kentucky). The national organization was founded in 1974 by permission of Bishop Mark Hurley in the Diocese of Santa Rosa, California. CUL is a not for profit corporation (501(c)3).

Our logo, consisting of a stylized cross with four Greek inscriptions, is used to represent the national organization of Catholics United for Life (CUL). The stylization of the cross suggests a Dogwood tree, which is believed to be the type of wood used for the cross on which Jesus was crucified. The four inscriptions are Greek for the caption below the cross: Jesus (IC) Christ (XC), Victor (NI KA).

M E M B E R S H I P

The membership of CUL is limited to those who share the beliefs and commitments of Catholics United for Life as enumerated in the Statement of Principles from the national office. We are dedicated to the defense and promotion of human life and Catholic sexual moral values, marriage and family life. The Center for Law and Justice International is a project of CUL.

M E E T I N G S   A N D   D U E S

Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 6 PM, St. Anthony Church Hall. Dues are $20 per year (single membership) or $30 per year (family membership).

As a new organization within St. Anthony’s Parish, our annual calendar is in the process of being developed. At this time our annual functions include:

• January: March for Life (weekend closest to Jan. 21)

• March: Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner (weekend closest to St. Patrick's Day)

• May: Living Rosary

• October: Respect Life Conference (first weekend)

• December 8: Night of Prayer for Life before the Blessed Sacrament

• December 31: All-parish activity for families
