Cody Right to Life is a community organization not affiliated with the Church of St. Anthony. The following information
is included here for the convenience of our parishioners.
Cody Right to Life is a non-sectarian pro-life group that has existed continuously for over 27 years.
Its mission is twofold. It is involved in trying to affect public policies as they pertain to the life issues, namely, abortion, euthanasia,
embryonic stem cell research, and human cloning. It also concerns itself with promoting chastity among young people, since this is a
powerful antidote to the abortion mentality. Members encourage political engagement as a means of promoting the Culture of Life.
Its second purpose is educational; it attempts to raise public awareness on these vital issues by diverse means. It has hosted state
conferences and banquets, run newspaper advertisements including in high school and college newspapers, circulated petitions, distributed
pro-life literature, put up a number of billboards, raised funds for placement of a memorial to the unborn in Riverside Cemetery, and been
active in numerous other projects, most recently the Baby Safe Arms Program in hospitals.
Membership is $20 per annum, and the group meets on the first Monday evening of the month.
